tl;dr: Ukraine's 92nd Separate Assault Brigade claims to have conducted the first-ever drone evacuation of a wounded soldier, using a heavy-lift hexacopter originally designed as a bomber to extract an infantryman from a position where ground vehicles couldn't operate due to enemy drones and landmines. The mission coincides with Ukraine's broader push into drone-based logistics, including a newly approved program to transport medicines, blood samples, and donor organs between hospitals. It also comes amid strained U.S. relations, including reported restrictions on Starlink and intelligence sharing.
