tl;dr: Ink & Switch is an independent research lab focused on "tools for thought," organized around four themes: local-first software, malleable software, programmable ink, and universal version control. Notable outputs include the Automerge CRDT library, the Muse/Allume workspace app, and essays/projects like Inkbase, Patchwork, and Ambsheets (spreadsheets for exploring scenarios). The lab publishes essays and lab notebooks, and presents at venues like Local-First Conf and GodotCon.
